How to Plan a Corporate Event in Ibiza
Ibiza has quietly become one of Europe's strongest corporate destinations. Direct flights from every major hub, villas built for groups, restaurants that impress without trying, and a reputation that makes attendance the easiest sell of the year. Nobody declines the Ibiza offsite.
But the island punishes improvisation. Here is what actually matters when you plan a corporate event there.
Pick the season on purpose
The island runs from May to early October. June and September are the corporate sweet spots: full infrastructure, better rates than July and August, and villas that would be impossible to book in peak weeks. October closings can work for small executive groups. Winter is for a different kind of retreat, with half the island closed.
Villas beat hotels for most formats
For groups up to 40, a staffed villa in the south of the island outperforms any hotel: privacy, meeting space, catering on site, and no other guests around your conversations. The north is quieter and better for focused work. Hotels win only when the group is large or the program needs conference infrastructure.
Budget honestly
Client dinners run from 150 euros per person. Full offsites typically land between 450 and 1,300 euros per person per day, including venue, food and one signature activity. A boat day for the team adds real cost but is consistently the moment people talk about a year later. If the budget forces a choice, cut a dinner, keep the boat.
The mistakes we see every season
Booking flights before the villa. Underestimating transfers, distances on the island are short but slow. Planning a club night for the whole team as mandatory fun. Leaving the good restaurants for last, they book out weeks ahead in season. And assuming availability in September, which has become the busiest corporate month of all.
When to start
Four to eight weeks for a straightforward offsite. Twelve for anything involving a product launch, a large group or marquee venues. The best dates and properties go to whoever moves first.
